This is a retitled version of THE FRONT with which I have been involved since last year. It's a great musical based upon the 1976 film "The Front" starring Woody Allen and Zero Mostel about television writers who were blacklisted during the McCarthy era and hired fronts to bring their scripts to the studios. I play Steve Parks, the star of the TV show around which the plot is centered as well as several other small roles.

BEATSVILLE, A New Musical at NAMT
10.20.08 to 10.21.08

New York, NY
I'll be playing the role of Lou. According to Playbill.com, BEATSVILLE has "music and lyrics by Wendy Leigh Wilf and a book by Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid). Based on the film "A Bucket of Blood," the musical takes place in 1959 Greenwich Village, where 'tragically square Walter Paisley finds that his clay figures, sculpted nudes, and papier-mâché busts bring him the acceptance he desperately yearns for. But what if the world discovered that Walter's body of work consists of actual bodies?'"

Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Eddie Holland have written the score. You can read more about the musical at the show's website.

TALES FROM THE BAD YEARS, Penn State New Musicals Festival

State College, PA
I'm directing this new work by Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk. It's a series of songs exploring and exploiting the volatility of life in the 20s. Not the 1920s, but human 20s. The twenty-somethings. This is a great piece and I can't wait to set to work on it with the students at Penn State.

I will be playing the role of Pastor James, in whom Tracy, the lead character, finds much strength and solace for her battle with her disease.

UNBEATABLE : A Musical Journey is a bold, fresh exploration of the cancer patient’s experiences – through musical theatre. The story, based on actual events, uses a theatrical trial setting to share one woman’s perspective on her journey with breast cancer and how that journey came to change every aspect of her life. The script weaves a sly and hearty humor through the drama, keeping a light touch in a potentially devastating story.

Visit the show's MySpace page for more information.

04.06.07 | 9:00 PM Eastern, 8 Central

This is the episode of "Six Degrees" that I shot in November of last year. As I was walking off the set after shooing my last scene, the word had spread 'round the cast and crew that the show had been cancelled by ABC. Miraculously, ABC decided to air the episodes anyway! It's a small role (Elliot), but I had a great time working on this show. And now I find out that it's finally been pulled - so there you have it.
